THE LIGHT IN THE WARD - Lucilla Andrews HTF
CODE: luci70
This book is an EX-LIBRARY book, a battered reading copy only! As well as all the usual library stamps and markings, some of the early pages are taped in, there is heavy tanning to pages, some staining to page edges and the back ten pages are loose. They are all there, but need to be reattached.
The Light in the Ward – Lucilla Andrews
Thorpe Ulverscroft GB 1965
(That is the only date on info page)
Catherine Newenden, a fourth-year nurse at St Martha's teaching hospital in London, is lent a mews flat by her wealthy cousin, who is on a visit to America.
Catherine finds one of her neighbours to be Dr. Andrew Lairg, the new head of the cardiac department at her hospital. Needless to say, their paths cross at frequent intervals, but always to the disadvantage of Catherine, who is fated to find herself in some very odd situations.
The way in which these misunderstandings are eventually explained makes a story in which medical drama and romance are nicely blended.
This is a large print edition of a hard to find and out of print romance novel.
